Dove of Peace

When Mike showed us the white dove he has recently knitted, I immediately thought of the dove of peace and later thought of Jesus' words,

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

The Crochet & Knitting Friendship Group, in our weekly Zoom Meeting, also thought of Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit. We were meeting on Ascension Day, the day Christians remember Jesus departing this world. Immediately before speaking about peace, as quoted above, Jesus said to his disciples,

"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

This is what is remembered at Pentecost.

We also loved seeing Mike's red nosed reindeer and a cute bird.

Thanks for sharing Mike and keep knitting!
