Community Champion from Morrisons Bodmin supports the work of Revd Elaine Munday, Pioneer Minister for the Bodmin Team Ministry

Morrisons Bodmin read about Revd Elaine’s projects in Bodmin Way’s Newsletter and got in touch. The Community Champion has very generously provided plenty of fruit and vegetables, which although have gone past the date they can be displayed in store, are still perfectly edible for several days to come.

Champion Tracey, with driver Callum, personally delivered the healthy fruit and veg to ‘Our Gate’ at the home of Joseph and Elaine, for them to offer to those who could do with a helping hand, especially at this time. It’s not just a one off either. Deliveries of food will now be a regular thing, including non-perishable items, that will be made into packages to support those who need it the most in Bodmin.

‘Our Gate’ is just one of the distribution locations for boxes, bags and bundles of provision for local people. It’s Tracey and Revd Elaine’s hope that this food source will be a help to people during the pandemic and beyond.
